Puzzle Dates and Timezones: Find the Right Edition
Understand daily resets and avoid using hints for the wrong puzzle.
Read the actual date
A page saying “today” should also identify its edition date. The day on your device may differ from the publisher’s release timezone, especially near midnight.
Know our reset
Our daily games use UTC. They change at 00:00 UTC, and the countdown shows the time remaining in that edition. Weekly boards start Monday UTC; monthly boards follow calendar months.
Use archives honestly
An archived edition keeps its original date. Its answers do not become the current answer just because someone refreshed the page. If current hints have not been verified, use general strategy or the solver while waiting.
