A LITTLE WORD KNOW-HOW

How to Play Anagram Sprint: Rules & Worked Tips

A quick guide to playing our anagram sprint game, whether you want a quiet practice round or a counted daily result.

Start with the rules

Use the seven rack letters to make words of at least three letters. You do not have to use the whole rack. Each letter can appear only as often as it appears in the rack, and each distinct accepted word counts once.

Try a useful approach

For READING, try short foundations such as READ and GAIN, then look for useful extensions such as GRAIN. A familiar ending can suggest several possibilities, but check that the rack actually contains every required letter.

Understand your result

The ranked round lasts three minutes. The same length-based raw points as Word Grid apply, with twenty daily points per raw point up to 1,000. Practice is unlimited. The anagram solver uses every rack letter when you want an exact-anagram challenge instead.
